Ants

We, ants, are tiny little creature. How infinitely small we must strike to your eyes! You often trample us to death without any regard or concerns for us. Many persons despise us because we are found everywhere.

Place sweets safely locked in a cupboard and you will find swarms of us there; put sugar in a vessel and we are sure to reach there, if by magic. We go after sweet, fragrant, savory and tasteful things. As living creatures, we like their taste and love their smell.

Our sense of smell is so strong that we can at once detect a thing, even though at a distance. People dislike us because they think that we poison their food- stuff, liquids, drinks, beverages and eatables.

We are very, very tiny creatures, but we are as wise as men. Many a slugged and any a fool might learn lessons of wisdom from us. We never waste our time in sleeping or playing. Al day long we gather up corn and lay up our stores for winter or rainy days when we cannot work. Don not you appreciate our intelligence, strength and dedication to work?

Further, are you human being as united as we are? You are divided into casts, religions, colors, while we are above such petty considerations. And yet you regard yourselves as the best creation of GOD.

For the purpose of work, we no doubt divine ourselves into classes such as workers, soldiers, carriers and so on. It may be for your information that some of us even keep slaves and get work from them and others keep insects from which they get milk, just as you keep cows.

Our industry is proverbial, we are ever toiling and moiling, so, don’t deprive us, O mortal Man.
